This week in class we learned about a program that detects plagiarism. For our assignment we were to type a paper and copy word for word from a variety of websites to find answer to questions provided for us. We then submitted it through turnitin which came back to be 97% which means that the majority of the paper was plagiarized. We were then to retype our paper with the same website, same questions but this time put it into our own words. We then submitted that paper through turnitin which should come back 25% or less, meaning that we retained the information from that website but worded it differently.
1.
Copyright laws address the legal works created by others. Fair Use Law
places a limit on the use of copyrighted works so that these works can
be used without getting permission. It is very important for teachers
and students to understand such laws when working with digital files.
When teachers use photos of students, it is important to get the parents
permission first; it also is important not to post a students' names
with photos. 2.Digital stories are narratives, told from a point of view, that have been turned into multimedia productions.
